Winter is Snow Much Fun Literacy and Math Unit.....Giveaway

I am so excited to have finished my first "unit" for TPT. It is my Snow Much Fun Winter Literacy and Math Unit. It is a unit created specifically for first grade but has some activities that would be appropriate for kindergarten and maybe second grade.

It took me a while to get it done but hopefully I will get faster at creating!

Anyway......because I am so so so so happy to have finished it, I am hosting a fast give-away for my unit. (My first give-away too....YAY!!!)

Penguin Writing and Craftivity!

We have been learning all about penguins for the past two weeks. We have read lots of penguin books and watched some National Geographic clips about the types of penguins. My kiddos have thoroughly enjoyed this unit. On Monday, I gave each child some black, white, and orange paper to make a penguin. I didn't give them a pattern to go by........and oh my........they did not like it! They had to figure out how to make it on their own!!! It was quite amusing to hear them talk with their neighbors about what to do and why Ms. McBee wouldn't help them! But......they turned out so cute and with so much personality. Yesterday, we finished up our unit by making a tree map of some facts about penguins and writing about them.

I have been MIA and lots of random Winter Work!

I have been missing in action since the week after Christmas. In that time, I have moved into my new house and gotten ~~mired~~ ~~bogged down~~ pre-occupied in the joys of remodeling! I am so ready to be finished with all the construction, painting, dust, etc, etc, etc.

Oh....and thanks to ~~C*%$@#t~~ I haven't had TV or internet in over a week and will not get an install until the 27th!!! Really, seriously.....you are THAT busy?!?!?!? I think I should have called D*^$%# TV!!!

BUT on a brighter note.....I love my new place...the neighbors are wonderful....and it going to look great when it is finished!

Anyway.......here are some pics of the wonderful work we have been doing at school!
