Wild about Animals

Our field trip to the zoo was just the beginning of all things animals.  The kinderbugs have had lots of fun with all of our animal themed activities and centers!


I purchased Deanna Jump's Zoo Animals packet and it was just full of all kinds of great stuff!  You can purchase it here!

Here are just a couple of great ideas from her packet.

We didn't just have fun with zoo animals, we also threw in some farm animals too!  The farm animal measurement center came from Mrs. Kilburn's Kiddos.  Check it out here.

Hello to all my bloggy friends!  Contrary to popular opinion, I have not fallen off the face of the Earth.  I have been so completely bogged down enjoying the wonders of remodeling my house that I barely have time to think!  I am still teaching my little heart out, stalking your cutie cutie blogs and getting some wonderfully creative ideas.  Even though I haven't been blogging or leaving ya'll comments that doesn't mean I haven't been reading about all your great work.

I feel much better now that I have gotten that little confession out of the way......let me tell you what we are up to!  Next week are beginning our unit on animals......one of my favorite units of study!  To go along with our study of animals, we are taking all 110 of our kindergarten students on our annual field trip to the zoo!!! I am super dee duper excited because I love this trip!!!  The kids get so much out of the trip and have a great time too.
