Christmas is coming!

Christmas is fast approaching and we will be doing lots of holiday activities in the three weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas......So I thought I would get a jump start and post some of the fun things we will be doing. I love all the gingerbread stories and we will be reading several and comparing them.

I will copy this onto chart paper or use on the Promethean Board.  Click here to get.

Flow map....The students will draw pictures to retell what happened at the beginning, middle, and end of the story. Click here to get.

Gingerbread Man sequencing.  This came from SparkleBox. Click here for the link.

(None of these songs are my original ideas....I have compiled them over the years and found them on many websites.)

Reindeer Poky
(sung to the tune of "The Hokey Poky")
You put your antlers in. You put your antlers out.
You put you antlers in and you shake them all about.
You do the Reindeer Poky and you turn yourself around.
That's what it's all about!
You put your hooves in....
You put your red nose in....
You put your fluffy tail in...
You put your reindeer body in...

Let's All Do a Little Clapping
(Sing to: We Wish You A Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year!)
Let's all do a little clapping, let's all do a little clapping, let's all do a
little clapping, & spread Christmas cheer.
You can change the clapping to
other activities.

3.Twirling
4.Stretching
5.Bending

Where is Santa?
(Sung to the tune: Are you sleeping?)
Where is Santa? Where is Santa? (hands behind back)
Here I am! Here I am! (arms out in front making a belly shape!)
Merry, Merry Christmas! Merry, Merry, Christmas!
(keep arms up through the rest of the song!)
Ho! Ho! Ho!, Ho! Ho! Ho!
